Did you know that your Heavenly Father can’t wait to meet with you today?  It’s true!  Spend a minute or two dwelling on that and then read the passage below using your Bible Study Insert.

1 Corinthians 2:9

Not too long ago I came across a quote from a French poet that stirred me to my soul.  His name is Antoine de Saint-Exupery and this is what he said:  “If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.”

What purpose does this quote have to do with our church and your faith?  Why did I want to share it with you?  I share this quote with you because often in my job as your pastor I spend a lot of my time trying to, “drum up people to collect wood and assign tasks to work.”

We need workers in the kids department, ushers, greeters, coffee, etc…But this quote reminds me that the greatest thing I can do is call you to imagine…imagine the “endless immensity” of what God will do if we fully follow His call…

What is God speaking to you about right now?  Is there something He’s calling you to do?   Spend time listening for His Voice and respond with obedience and surrender.
