How’s your heart this morning?  Are you ready to hear from Him?  Take a moment to prepare your heart.  Then, when you feel ready, read the devotional below.

Matthew 11:29-30

Some of you are probably ready to hit the brakes after reading today’s passage.  You may be thinking, “Excuse me?  What did you say Jesus?  I must not have heard you correctly because I thought you said, ‘take this yoke’?  That can’t be right Jesus because remember I came to you because I’m already overloaded.  I’m tired, exhausted, and under pressure.  Now you want me to TAKE your yoke upon me?”  But don't walk away just yet.  Often we don’t really understand what Jesus’ yoke IS and what it’s FOR.  You see, with a yoke two or more are teamed together so the load is HALVED.  It’s LIGHTENED.   The purpose is to make it easier not harder.   When Jesus says, “take my yoke upon you,”  it’s a symbol of PARTNERSHIP.

Who are you currently partnering with to carry the heavy burdens of your life?  What would it look like for you to partner up with Jesus and allow Him to help you carry your cares and pressures?
