How’s your heart this morning?  Are you ready to hear from Him?  Take a moment to prepare your heart.  Then, when you feel ready, read the devotional below.

The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, “Yahweh! The Lord!  The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger…” — Exodus 34:6

When’s the last time you were REALLY angry?  That’s probably not a question you enjoy hearing.  Anger usually is something we tend to avoid talking about because there are usually some pretty painful situations that led up to our angry responses that are not fun to remember.  It’s a similar concept with God often times: we don’t like talking about God being angry.  But the reality is, our passage talks about that very thing: God’s anger.

To truly know God for who He is, it’s important not to avoid those passages you don’t understand.  Rather, it’s best to approach Him with a heart seeking to learn, a heart of humility.  When it comes to God’s anger, what questions do you have?  What do you want to ask of Him?  Spend time in prayer bringing those questions to Him right now.
