What thoughts are dominant in your mind right now? What is distracting you? Bring those to God now and ask Him to focus your heart to hear from you. After you sense a focus on Him, read the passage below using your Bible Study Insert.
Numbers 13:27-29 & 31
According to our passage today, of the twelve spies that went into the land to do some recon, only two came back with a positive report. Ten of them said, “we can’t do it. They’re too big, the cities are too fortified, they’re too strong.”
Let me ask you something: do you have people in your life that even though they are surrounded by the blessings of God they choose to see something else? I call them people with the “Ten Spies Syndrome”. Every blessing becomes a problem. Every strength is seen as a weakness, every joy turns into a heartache.
What “report” are you bringing the people in your life? Are they reports that focus on the giants, the problems, the struggles and pains? Or are they reports that focus on God?
As you prepare to pray, what do you sense Him speaking to you right now? How is He calling you to respond?
