Read: Judges 6:11-16 and Romans 8:31-32
Let me ask you a question to begin today: “how do you view you?” For many of you, your view of yourself is based on what everyone else around you has told you.
But, what if God sees you differently? What if all those people’s opinions of you is wrong?
What if you’ve been around the wrong people? If we could just for the next few minutes to see ourselves the way He sees us, it would change everything.
How can you tell what God really thinks of you? How can you value your worth in His eyes? About 1300 years later, a follower of Jesus named Paul shared some incredible truths with us about our value in God’s eyes.
“If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all…” — Romans 8:31-32
A pastor named Andy Stanley says it so powerfully: “The value of a thing is the price it will bring.”
So let me remind you, God’s Son was the price for you. What does that tell you about your value?
You are so valuable to God that He gave His Son to be with you.
Another pastor named Steve Furtick says, “It’s dangerous to think more highly of yourself than you ought. It’s equally dangerous to think less of yourself than God does.”
What would you do if you were confident God was with you, in you, and for you? What would be different about your life? How would your family be different? Work? Church? Neighborhood?
That’s the life you’ve been called to. This is the destiny you were created for.
My prayer is that God would open our eyes to see ourselves as He sees us.
Close your time in prayer.
