God is present with you right now. He is all around you. That is His promise (Psalm 139:7-12). Take time to prepare to hear from Him, then read the devotional below.
God chooses Gideon to be the next deliver of His people. How does Gideon respond? “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.” (Judges 6:15). I’m from Manasseh, one of the 12 tribes and it’s not even a famous one. I’m from the weakest clan and I’m LAST in my family! In other words, I dropped out of High School. I’m broke. I don’t have a girlfriend. I’m not even on Facebook yet! And you want ME to save Israel?
But God says, “Am I not sending you?…I will be with you…” (Judges 6:14, 16). God’s response to Gideon’s questions, his fears, his doubts is, “I’ll be with you.” Because if God is with you, the rest is just details.
As you prepare to pray, what do you sense your Heavenly Father speaking to you right now? How is He calling you to respond?
