Jesus promised us He would never leave us (Matt. 28:19-20). That means He is present with you now. Is your heart prepared to hear from Him? Take a moment to prepare your heart to hear from Him then read the passage below.
If you’ve spent much time around babies as either a parent, sibling, babysitter, etc. then you are probably well aware that one of a baby’s first words is “NO”. In essence, when you tell A child “no” you are telling them what they CAN and CAN’T do. I’m sure you’ve noticed this isn’t a “baby specific” issue. Not many people like to hear “no”. We don’t like hearing no from our bosses, our HOA or our parents. It makes sense that some of the first words out of our mouths as human beings is a revolt: “No!…You’re not going to tell ME what to do!” This is the SAME ISSUE the people of God in the book of JUDGES have as well. They don’t want to hear God tell them “no” and the result of their defiance is a broken and shattered life.
How’s your heart today? Are there any “no’s” you’ve been telling God lately? Are you ready to trust Him and do what He’s called you to do even if you don’t feel like it? Pray about that today.
