Did you know you are precious and honored in God’s sight (Isaiah 43)? Let that truth sink in. Then, read the passage below using your Bible Study Insert.
1 Peter 2:2 and Matthew 6:33
Have you ever noticed that you don't have to tell a kid to "want" to walk and run and jump? It’s in their DNA to grow. We naturally desire to learn to throw a ball, ride a bike, drive, date…Next steps are built in.
But the incredible truth of God is that by allowing our “next steps” to be centered on Him FIRST, the other “steps” become more fulfilling because they are finding their proper place. If “things” and “stuff” and promotions and finances become the thing you seek FIRST, they never fully satisfy. There’s something “missing” in them. Jesus said it this way: “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” (Matthew 6:33). This comes in a passage where Jesus is talking about worrying and the things we pursue. So JESUS says, pursue/crave me and my kingdom FIRST and everything else will fall into place.
What is God speaking to your heart about right now? What is He calling you to do? What step is He prompting you to take?
