Roller Coaster of Life.

I have always related life to a roller coaster with ups and downs. Just when you feel you were almost to the end of the ride, there would be one more hairpin turn to throw you back into uncertainty. There are only a few thrills in life compared to the minutes we have to deal with setbacks. However, we should relish the thrills and enjoy them when they come.

It really is a time of being thankful for all that we have. I was thinking about this wonderful pause in our life. It is always interesting to me as soon as our day of thanks ends, it launches one of the craziest and busiest time of our life. In fact, we move from slowing down a day and enjoying our surroundings to finding ourselves swamped with events, shopping, traffic and all the other events of the Advent season.

Autumn in Swing, what a Blessed Thing!

October was a great month for GNAZ. Let me hit some of the highlights for you.

We average close to 600 in worship attendance. In fact on the 24th we had 636 in attendance and last Sunday we had close to that in attendance. We also received 15 new members into the fellowship in the month of October. The giving for the month was beyond words to explain. Our needs for the month are $85,000. We received for the month $109,600. Last Friday night another lady accepted Christ and throughout the month many had renewal in their life. It was truly a month when we were able to have an attitude of gratitude. God is blessing and we give Him our praises.

I’ve moved into the stage of life where it’s okay to carry pictures of your grandkids and talk non stop about how great it is to enjoy your grandkids more than your kids.
